As I mentioned in my last post, I had the wonderful honor of photographing Sara and Dave’s wedding rehearsal in Franconia, New Hampshire the first weekend that we were in New England. Sara and Justin grew up together in Hollis, NH and have stayed dear friends through the years, so you can imagine my delight when she asked me to photograph! It was so great to be involved during the rehearsal, but to attend the wedding as a guest since so many of Justin’s childhood friends were in attendance…it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces! I laughed so hysterically for so much of the evening that my abs were seriously sore the next day. I’m not kidding. Sore.
But my sore abs aside, I had such a fantastic time covering Sara and Dave’s rehearsal! I don’t know what it is about rehearsing for a wedding, but there is always a ton of laughing and all around jolly-ness that I just love. My own wedding rehearsal was the first time in a week of pre-wedding chaos that the fact that I was going to get married the next day actually sunk in and took on some reality. It’s a slightly different atmosphere from the wedding itself and I highly recommend having it photographed if you can swing it!

Without further ado, Sara and Dave’s wedding rehearsal at the Sunset Hill House inn…

Sara’s grandfather did a special reading…

Sara & dave found this fantastic stick while hiking and sanded and finished it into a gorgeous walking stick. The role that it played in their ceremony was just beautiful.

The Sunset Hill House did an amazing job with the dinner!

Cheers!
Sara’s dad had everyone choked up!
After dinner, there was music and drinks in the bar…fun!!

You captured the rehearsal beautifully! What a special Gift!
