Barbara + Douglass: The Reception!

I’m too excited to share the reception with you to yippity-yap too much beforehand, but I just have to say that there was something so incredibly warm and cozy and amazing happening under this tent! While the wind whipped outside and the lightening struck, the love and laughter and music and dancing seemed almost intensified by its juxtaposition to the storm that raged. And while I know that Barbara and Douglass were disappointed by the rained out plans of fireworks and chinese sky lanterns, I think that the atmosphere that they gained under the protection of the tent was worth it!

Now, without further ado, Barbara and Douglass’s Chapel Hill reception!

Seriously, Tre Bella Florist and Grace Leisure Events outdid themselves…the tent was stunning!

The dance floor stayed packed all night thanks to the AWESOME band, Shimmer! So good!

The cake and scrumptious macaroons were by Miel Bon Bons, while the delicious food was provided by Durham Catering Company!

And I absolutely-no-way-ain’t-gonna-do-it could end this post without including this AMAZING wedding film that MacKenzie and Philip of Inkspot Crow Films captured of the day! I know I’ve had this conversation with many of you, but seriously, my biggest regret from my wedding day was not having video…there are some things that simply cannot be captured any other way! Now my newfound obsession with these guys (I’m not kidding…seriously check out their site…Justin and I spent way too much time systematically watching everything they’ve done while lamenting not having them at OUR wedding!) has me dreaming of renewing my vows sooner rather than later just to have an excuse to hire them!

SUCH a fantastic night!! Thank you so much Barbara and Douglass!!!

How can I ever say in words how amazingly wonderful is the way you captured all the precious moments of the wedding magic!?! It is such a joy to be able to re-live it all in slow time! The celebration went by too quickly…I love the ones of little Nick dancing, our FIRST dance, the girls toasting, Ryan and I on the floor–
there are just too many good ones! Thank you Cindy, from the bottom of my heart <3 BarbaraReplyCancel
