I absolutely love small, intimate weddings! I love the way that everything is so relaxed and how the bride and groom get time with each guest! I love the little details and the real connections and the slower pace of things! Amanda and Matt were looking for all of those things when they began planning their wedding at The Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine! Amanda’s family spent time at The Samoset every summer and it’s a place near and dear to her heart! Matt, who is so enthusiastic and just game for anything, was right on board with holding their wedding on the Maine coast! After all the fun we had at their engagement session (remember Foamhenge?), I was pretty sure that anything these two put their heads and hearts into would be awesome!
Cobalt blue shoes & accessories? Ummm…yes, please!!!
I just love Amanda’s simple, breezy gown (with a little touch of bling!)!
Matt and Amanda chose to share a “First Look” and see one another before their ceremony! For some couples, having that big moment as the bride walks down the aisle is key to feeling like it’s truly their big day. But if that’s not the case, having the opportunity to connect with one another before the whirlwind begins can be a truly amazing experience and help refocus on the real meaning of the day!
The other bonus is having some extra time to grab some fantastic portraits!
We headed out to the Breakwater for a few quick shots…so gorgeous!!
Blue wedding shoes + blue wedding socks = happy wedding photographer!!
Amanda and Matt’s ceremony is on deck for this afternoon…don’t miss it!!
