Family Portraits on Martha’s Vineyard!

You may remember Barbara and Douglass from their stunning Chapel Hill wedding earlier this year! One of my very favorite families EVER, I’ve had the privilege of knowing them and being involved in their lives for several years and I have absolutely loved every second of watching their family grow and change and expand, becoming ever more embracing and overflowing with love!! Barbara’s son, Ryan (who sadly couldn’t make it to Martha’s Vineyard for this shoot!) is expecting his very first baby any day now and I just can’t wait to head down to North Carolina later this month to photograph his newborn!! All of that said, I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was when Barbara mentioned one day shortly after their wedding that the family would be vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard later in the year and that she wanted to get some family portraits done while they were there! I LOVE Martha’s Vineyard!! The cruiser bikes and clam chowder and ice cream combined with gorgeous stretches of openness and the ability to escape the crowds…it just feels like everything the perfect New England seaside vacation spot should be!

But onto the fun!! Due to conflicting schedules and the craziness that is life sometimes, Barbara’s children couldn’t make it, but her grandson plus Douglass’s girls and sister were all there with bells on!

Thank you guys so much for such a fantastic evening!! See you soon!!

Hi-Fi Weddings, it’s Lauren the bride. My husband would love to email you the info as he venlutoers at the local low power fm radio station and is super excited to share the details of putting this suprise together (and talking about low power radio hehe). Apparently, he had a friend hand out cards to guests, telling them to tune in as they drove off from the ceremony. It was such a sweet little suprise to hear his voice over the radio waves, making dedications to his new wife as we drove off.He will contact you via your site. Thanks for your interest!LaurenReplyCancel
