Kathryn & Matthew: Seaside Maine Wedding!

Where do I even begin when it comes to this amazing wedding?!?!? How about the fact that not only did Kathryn DIY the vast majority of the day, but she did it knowing that she’d either have to manage to create all of the scrumptiousness she planned in the week before her wedding or cart it halfway across the country…yup, she DIY’d a destination wedding!! Hailing from Missouri, Kathryn and Matthew planned this amazing day while wrapping up their college degrees, searching for jobs, and generally figuring out what adventures life would hold for them next! From the absolutely stunning handcrafted details to the fact that their guestlist contained only people who loved them enough to travel halfway across the country (and some even further!), I just loved every aspect of Kathryn & Matthew’s big day!!

Kathryn’s soon-to-be sister-in-law also happens to be a crazy talented makeup artist…and travels complete with entertainment in the form of her bulldog, Mr. Pig…L.O.V.E!

Oh wait…did I forget to mention that Kathryn is freaking GORGEOUS? In my next life, I plan to also be this willowy and graceful…

And while the girls were getting all glammed up, the boys were hanging, getting dapper, and spending time with Tina, Kathryn & Matthew’s sweet sweet fur-baby!

The historic South Cushing Baptist Church is everything you’d want from a quaint little chapel!

The flowers? You’ve got it! DIY’d with the help of a talented friend! Awesome, right?

Kathryn & Matthew carved out some time for fantastic portraits in the prettiest light of the day…we made the most of it!

Oh the details…the fabulous fabulous details…

I LOVE me some weddings with dogs in them!! Tina’s looking for trouble…

Did somebody say pie?? Kathryn & Matthew opted for these scrumptious handmade pies from Rockland’s The Brown Bag instead of cake…SOOOO delicious!!!!

While I’m always a great appreciator of technicolor Maine sunsets, I admit that I am especially fond of them when there is a tented wedding involved!

    Dearest Katy,
Ashton told me about these pictures of your wedding. These are beautiful. It’s amazing how photography has changed. My wedding photos from 1953 are much different and fewer. Cherish these for life.
Wish I could have joined you,
