Monica & Kurt: Mount Washington Hotel Wedding!!

Oh Monica and Kurt…where do I even begin?!?! I know that there was a time before I knew them, but it certainly seems much longer ago than a year! I should have known from the fact that our initial meeting lasted four hours and that we ended it still talking in the doorway that we were going to be friends, but I just adore these two! They are brilliant scientists/computer geeks/adventurers/academics with super quick wit and hilarious senses of humor whose love can be seen in every interaction between them! They are incredibly supportive of one another’s dreams and ambitions, even when it means commuting between California and New Hampshire for some period of time. Monica grounds Kurt through the long work days that are part of moving forward in his career and Kurt talks Monica back from the ledge when she’s one more all-nighter into a gigantic presentation. He never says no when she begins talking about miniature horses and fainting goats and pot-bellied pigs and any of the other cutie-pie critters that are destined to be a part of her menagerie one day and she’s the very first one to laugh when he makes a clever crack! They are fun, wonderful, generous people and photographing their beautiful fall wedding at the Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire’s White Mountains was just an absolute blast!

Monica & Kurt chose to do a First Look before their ceremony! This is such an amazing way to check in with one another, slow things down a bit, and to ground yourselves in the meaning of the day before being caught up in the whirlwind of friends and family that are such a wonderful (but potentially overwhelming!) part of every wedding!

Emily Herzig did an INSANE job on the floral design…absolutely stunning!!

Monica & Kurt- thanks so much!! You guys are awesome!!

Great pictures of the momentous day.

The only picture out of character was the one with the moose — did it have a bumper sticker “I climbed Mount Washington” ??

I wish I had been invited, I would have loved seeing all those fall colors in person. The pictures capture only a smidgeon of the fall pageant.

Congrats and best wishes for a long and prosperous life together.ReplyCancel

The photos are as beautiful as the wedding was! We were so pleased to have been able to attend, and now we can relive the lovely weekend through the photos. I especially loved the close up of the wedding cake with the little robotic bride and groom. Somehow I missed seeing that during the reception! How cute is that?!

Wow is the first word that comes to mind on how you captured not only the wedding activities, but also the mood and aura of all of us, especially the families and wedding party. Leona and I are thrilled that Monica and Kurt had the good sense to get you involved with their big day.ReplyCancel

Absolutely stunning! I laughed reading the spot on description of Monica and Kurt, and (I must admit) got a little teary eyed seeing the first look and ceremony pictures. Great job capturing such emotion and love!ReplyCancel

These are fantastic! Cindy, THANK YOU so much for capturing our day for us. Kurt and I could not have asked for a better photographer, and to make a great friend in the process just sweetens the deal we got.ReplyCancel
