Erin & Jim: Florida Engagements!

They say that the couple who plays together, stays together. If that’s the case, Erin and Jim have no worries ahead of them! From early morning pre-work surf sessions to biking or skateboarding to their favorite spot for drinks by the ocean, these two know how to have a good time together! They turn up the music and jam out while renovating their beachside condo and aren’t afraid to whip up s’mores pancakes to linger over on the patio after a morning of playing in the ocean. Work hard, play hard is the mantra in their happy home and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to head down to sunny Florida to capture a little of the amazing life that they are building together!

We began at sunrise (or cloud-rise since the sun stayed hidden for a bit!) and their shared love of the ocean, surfing, and playing a little music!

Having worked up an appetite, it was time for pancakes and coffee! Jim is an awesome cook!

Having fueled up, it was time to go play with the skateboards and then head into Melbourne to hang out downtown a bit!

Love that Erin can skateboard in cowboy boots!

Jim’s got MOVES!

We stumbled across this message in the concrete, which is AWESOME since Erin’s initials are E.J.!! Crazy!!

I love this series!!

When you happen upon “LUVE” graffitied onto a wall, well, you just HAVE to shoot it! Even better when it’s surrounded by grungy-ness…love it!!

When you are Erin & Jim and the weather gets warm enough to surf without wetsuits, there really isn’t much choice about how to spend your afternoon…

I’m totally obsessed with their gorgeous tattoos!

I may not be a surfer, but even I realize that riding a wave in together and pulling off this stunt requires some skill!! Have I mentioned that I have the BEST clients!?!?

And sometimes it’s just necessary to PLAY!

After an afternoon of playing in the water, we decided to get cleaned up and head back to the beach for some sunset shots! A storm was rolling in and made for the COOLEST sky! I love crazy weather!

Two of my favorite shots ever! Love!!!

I don’t know why, but I actually love the blur in this shot…not for everyone, I know, but I really love it!
Walking home!

Erin and Jim!! Thank you for a PERFECT day!!! I can’t wait for your wedding in less than TWO WEEKS!! YAY!!!!!

  • […] Erin had a vision for her wedding…guests would sit at their lakeside tables under the spanish moss sipping whiskey drinks from mason jars while munching southern fusion food and watching as she and Jim pledged their lives together. The weather…well…it had a different vision! Under drizzly skies, furniture was moved, plan “B” dreamed up and executed, and Erin and Jim’s smiling family and friends strolled over to the lakeside during a break in the weather, whiskey drinks and mason jars in hand, to watch as they promised support, love, and a little adventure in this life that they are building together! I’m so tempted to tell you about all the little details of their vintage Florida wedding, but this is just a peek, so we’ll all have to be patient! In the meantime…consider this an appetizer almost as good as the chicken and waffle skewers that were being passed along on vintage china platters on Saturday! Courtney and Darren’s photobooth is coming at you tomorrow! Happy Monday! […]ReplyCancel
