Kelsy and Kevin were married at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and what a day it was! While the weather forecast had loomed rather ominously, the day ended up breaking clear and bright and was an ideal backdrop for a truly stunning event! From the chalkboard seating sign that Kelsy meticulously hand-lettered {can I repeat that? HAND. LETTERED.} to the mercury glass and candlelight to the Gardens themselves in their mid-summer glory, there was certainly no shortage of scrumptious eye candy to soak in. But even more notable was the incredible sense of connection and tangible love that swirled around the day and created a glow even more impressive than all of those candles! I’ve been to a wedding or two in my day and was still totally blown away by the overwhelming sense of deep and sincere support and devotion that surrounded everyone involved…it was truly special and tremendously moving.
So I’ll stop talking and get to the good stuff! Bear with this lengthy post…when there is this much love happening AND a couple schedules a ton of time for photos throughout the day, there is just too much I HAVE to share with you!! Enjoy!!Kelsy & Kevin chose to see each other before their ceremony and did their “First Look” at the home of a family friend overlooking Boothbay Harbor!
Love love love.
Kelsy’s flowers…I couldn’t get enough of her bouquet by Sara at S. Scollay Design!
Okay. Seriously. She’s THAT hot. No joke.
Having time to play around and do some fun portraits was so much fun!!
So. gorgeous.
We arrived at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens with a bit of time to spare, so we played around, of course!
I loved the earrings and cuffs the bridesmaids all wore!
Go time!
Married!!
Remember that hand-lettered sign I was on about? Do you see why?? Insane, right?? I have to say it one more time…Kelsy drew this BY HAND!! Our girl’s got TALENT!
You know the food will be good when the crew from Blue Elephant Catering is involved!
The toasts left no dry eyes in the room…
Kelsy’s mom and grandmother baked all of the desserts for the dessert bar and there were several family and sentimental favorites in the mix, including the classic whoopie pie!
What happens when you schedule extra portrait time for sunset? Umm…AWESOMENESS, that’s what!!! This is what 15 minutes at sunset can getcha…
Followed by a ceremonial whoopie pie, of course!
And then it’s dance party time!!
Kelsy & Kevin- you guys seriously rock! Thank you so much for having us be part of your tremendous day!!! We had SO. MUCH. FUN. with you!!!!
