Sometimes it happens that you meet someone and you just know, instantly, that this is a good person. Someone you want to know, someone you want to talk to and spend time with. I felt that way within minutes of meeting Jacqui and Ian for their engagement session back in May and it was more than confirmed as I watched them interact with each other and their amazing community of family and friends on their wedding day. They’ve already faced some difficult times together and not only weathered the storms, but did so with their easy laughter and giving hearts intact. Good people. Like, really good. Their wedding day took place on the Pemaquid peninsula, beginning at the Bradley Inn! And the insanely talented Michelle of Marianmade Farm created all of the gorgeous floral design!Jacqui commemorated her late father with beautiful touches like a piece of his favorite shirt sewn into her gown and one of his monogrammed hankies wrapped around her bouquet.
In a nod to Ian’s heritage, their ceremony featured uillean pipes!
SO gorgeous!!!!
The Contented Sole is one of my very favorite venues ever! Beth and her team are just amazing and when paired with Michelle‘s floral genius, really know how to create a beautiful rustic feel!
A dear friend of Jacqui’s created her cake…so much love!
I am utterly SMITTEN with Jacqui & Ian’s rings!!! How awesome are they!?!?!
Jacqui and Ian carved out time for a quick 10 minutes of sunset portraits…it’s so wonderful when we can do this and grab a few more special moments in scrumptious light!!!
This was the first wedding in a long time where I was able to grab this shot for the couple…how beautiful and wonderful to see their guests engaged in the moment with them rather than a wall of cell phones and people watching on their tiny screens instead of in real life! I know people have mixed feelings about “unplugged” weddings, but I can’t help but feel like there is something to moments like this one!
Jacqui and Ian’s band, Ripcord, was INCREDIBLE!!! I cannot say enough about the insane talent happening here. One of the best bands I’ve ever heard at a wedding. Seriously.
