I have the best clients. Like EVER. Clients who are game for anything, totally open and understanding, and, you know, FUN! I feel like I’m always pretty aware of this fact, but sometimes there are clients who really drive home how very lucky I am! Danielle and Raju totally fall into this category!
To begin with, they call the sunshine-filled state of Florida home, but took their one week of spring break (Danielle is a teacher!) and left their beautiful weather behind to come up to Maine in the unpredictable month of March to do their engagement session! And true to the real madness that is March weather here, they were met with freezing rain and no sign of life yet emerging from our frozen ground. On top of their humor and awesomeness with the weather, they were totally flexible with me as I was knocked flat by a nasty flu the day before we were scheduled to shoot (I seriously get sick like that approximately once every 10-15 years…the last time was sometime around 2002!) and they rearranged their schedule to give me a few days to recover before we met up. Did I mention that they are awesome? Just checking.
We met at Fort Williams Park for their session during a break in the freezing rain and despite the raw weather, these two were all laughter and love and utter coolness! High-school sweethearts who have supported each other through years of education and job searching and life’s transitions, they absolutely radiate teamwork. And humor…they laugh SO much, which is just my favorite thing EVER, and we totally ended up having a ball!
Without further ado, some of my favorites from Danielle and Raju’s Portland Head Light engagement session!

Thank you both SO much!! I can’t wait for July!
