I first met with the Pumo family a few years ago when I shot a portrait session with them on their annual vacation in Maine from their home in Miami, Florida! We’ve maintained contact over the years and I was so thrilled when Lissette reached out for this year’s vacation to shoot some maternity portraits with their growing family! Despite a drizzly day, we had a great time playing by the rocky coastline and then moving to a nearby woodsy pond! Without further ado…the Pumo family!

I spent a gorgeous Saturday morning with the Manganello family a couple of weeks ago! We played by the water and took some photos and I just can’t get enough of these guys! I always really appreciate it when families approach a session with the expectation that their kiddos will just be themselves and can laugh and run around and engage with one another in a real and authentic way! Shocker, I know, but it turns out that yelling at your kids to smile doesn’t actually work very well! These guys had no such issue…there were adventures on the dock, climbing on the playground, and a bit of tossing in the air to keep things lively and the smiles came of their own accord!
Thank you so much, Manganellos!!! You guys are AWESOME!!!!
I can hardly believe that Elizabeth and Mike’s wedding was TWO years ago! I’d just arrived home from Haiti the evening before and they kicked my 2012 wedding season off with a PERFECT start…amazing friends and family plus a riotous good time! One of my very favorite things about wedding photography is how I get to be around for the official beginning of a family and that often I get to see bits and pieces of that family’s growth! It’s amazing to shoot engagement images when the talk is wedding, wedding, wedding and then see all that wedding talk come to life on the big day and THEN see that wedding settle into a marriage and then sometimes even get to see the family grow! It’s an evolution that never grows old for me! So of course I was beyond thrilled to meet up not only with Elizabeth and Mike, but also the rest of Elizabeth’s family for a super fun family session on the beach in Wells! Their beautiful little girl is just months old and was totally perplexed by the entire endeavor…she just looked so thoughtful the entire shoot!
Thank you guys SO SO much!! It was SO fantastic to spend the afternoon with you guys!!!!
As promised, I have the Stevenson family here for you again! While it already seemed that their daughter was growing up WAY too fast for me, there is something about posting her 9-month and 1-year sessions so close together that makes it feel as though she grew exceptionally fast and I’m not sure I like it one bit!! What I do like, however, is the excuse to ogle even more images of her red curls and toothy ear-to-ear grin! And to be reminded again of how amazing and special this family is to me…some of my favorite people in the entire world!! Without further ado…the Stevensons, y’all!!
Anyone else want to reach right through the computer screen and squeeze her ’til she pops? How can it possibly have been a year already!?!? If you missed them, be sure to check out the maternity, newborn, 5 month, and 9 month sessions!
Jennie & Rebekah…you guys are amazing and have and even MORE amazing family!!! Thank you so much for letting me take this year worth of photographs!
Can you believe that the last time you saw this precious little one, she wasn’t even six months old yet?!?!? Now she’s raced past her first year and has everyone who knows her torn between the desire to somehow force her to not grow another inch so that we can keep her right here forever and the unbelievable curiosity to see her continue to develop into the person she is!! Since I failed to share these 9-month images with you when I shot them back in October, you are in for a double-whammy treat…9 month images this week followed by her first year session next week!! That’s a whole lotta red-headed, belly laughing, perfect baby goodness, so hang on!!
Have I mentioned how much I love this family? Love love love LOVE.
I can’t wait to share the Stevenson’s first year session with you next week!
