I met Evan a few years back when he traveled to El Salvador to help build homes in the small mountain town of Talnique as part of Keene High School’s Interact Club! In addition to having a genuinely amazing heart, Evan is an incredible cyclist and nordic skier and a gifted writer. After winning a competitive essay contest, he was sent to India and shared his trip in a small series of blog posts here! He’s just seriously all-around impressive and I was SO excited and honored to spend an afternoon wandering around the Old Port with him as we shot his senior portraits! Without further ado…Evan!!

Evan, you seriously rock, yo! Thank you so much for a really great afternoon!

I met up with Ceili a few weeks ago to shoot her senior portraits down at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth! Ceili is, well, pretty much just amazing. She’s smart, open, super friendly, obviously gorgeous, and INSANELY talented. Don’t believe me? Feel free to listen to even 30 seconds of any of the videos on her You Tube channel and you’ll be convinced instantly, guaranteed! Seriously…she’s awesome. Go check out her work right now.

Now that you have her incredible music playing in the background, feel free to scroll on down! Ceili Spaulding, my friends!

Ceili!!! You are awesome!!! Thanks so much for being such a blast to work with!!

I love shooting senior portraits! Race is a senior at Yarmouth High School and it was so great to get to know him just a little bit during his session at Royal River Park! He’s not only an athlete, but has a talent for producing music and, maybe most importantly, has a super open mind to whatever the future might hold! He was a total sport for my enthusiastic jumping around and asking him to try a few random ideas…he went along with everything with his easygoing smile!

Thanks so much, Race! Have an amazing senior year!!

Peter was another of the amazing Keene High Interactors who worked so hard in El Salvador! I was so excited when he wanted to come up to Portland to shoot his senior portraits and we had a ball playing around the Old Port capturing who he is at this pivotal time in life! I’ve said it before, but I just can’t get over how floored I am by the work that Peter and his counterparts put into not only making the best of their high school experience, but using their experiences to make the lives of those around them better. It’s common practice to believe that today’s youth somehow care less, take less responsibility, but Peter is a perfect example of how unfair that stereotype can be! He spends his free time raising money to build houses in El Salvador, which means oh-so-glamorous tasks like delivering flowers, picking up trash after Nascar races, working the food booths at the Keene Pumpkin Festival…all so that he can give up his winter break to put in long hours of manual labor in Talnique come February. I am so excited to share some of his senior portraits here!!

Looking dapper, right?!?!?

I love these!!!

Bustin’ out the sunglasses!

Peter! You are awesome!

Katie is one of the amazing students behind the success of the Keene, NH Interact Club’s work in El Salvador! I first met her as a sophomore with a huge smile as she hauled “placas” from one end of the work site to the next, so I can’t believe she’s already going into her senior year and will soon be headed off into the world to share her generous and kind heart! I’m just so impressed with her dedication, unflappable work ethic, and deep empathy toward others…Katie, you are awesome!!!!

We had so much fun shooting her senior portraits at Fort Williams Park in Portland, Maine!! All tan and fit from coaching soccer camp all summer (yup, she’s a rockin’ athlete as well!), Katie made gorgeous photos easy!!

I just love her smile!!!

SO gorgeous!!!!

We got up early the next morning for a few fun sunrise pics near Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport…anyone that looks this good at 5am is pretty impressive in my book! 😉

KATIE!!! Thank you so much!! I’m so proud of you and had such a great time with you guys!!!! You are awesome!!!!!
